Quercus vaseyana Buckley is a species of oak that grows as a shrub or small tree, reaching a maximum height of 10 metres, which is equivalent to 33 feet. Its bark is brown in color. The leaves of this species are narrow, thick and leathery, growing up to 9 centimetres, or 3 and a half inches, long, and have either a small number of teeth or shallow lobes. This species is native to northern Mexico, specifically the states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, and Nuevo León, as well as to the U.S. state of Texas.
