About Quercus sessilifolia Blume
Quercus sessilifolia Blume is an Asian tree species belonging to the beech family, Fagaceae. This species is widely distributed across Japan, Taiwan, and most of southeastern China, specifically the provinces of Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Sichuan, and Zhejiang. It is classified in Quercus subgenus Cerris, section Cyclobalanopsis. Quercus sessilifolia grows as a tree reaching up to 25 meters in height. Its twigs are waxy, and its leaves can grow up to 15 centimeters long, with a thick, leathery texture.
