Quercus peduncularis Née is a small tree that reaches a maximum height of 4 metres, or 13 feet. Its leaves are thick and leathery, growing up to 10 centimetres, or 4 inches, long. The leaves are lance-shaped or egg-shaped, with 9 to 14 pairs of pointed teeth along their edges. This species is native to central, southeastern, and southwestern Mexico (including the state of Veracruz), as well as Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.
