Quercus crassipes Bonpl. is an oak tree species. This species is widely distributed across a large portion of Mexico, ranging from Sonora and Hidalgo in the north, southwards to Chiapas. It grows as a tree reaching up to 17 metres (56 feet) in height, with a trunk that can grow up to 100 centimetres (39 inches) in diameter. Its leaves are thick and leathery, reaching up to 10.8 centimetres (4 1/4 inches) long. Leaves are elliptical in shape, with wavy edges, and do not have teeth or lobes.
