About Quercus albocincta Trel.

Quercus albocincta is an oak tree species. It is native to the Sierra Madre Occidental in western Mexico, where it occurs in the states of Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango, and Sinaloa. It has also been recorded in the southernmost region of Baja California Sur. This is a deciduous tree that grows to roughly 15 metres (49 feet) tall, with a trunk that measures 25 to 50 centimetres (10 to 19 and 1/2 inches) in diameter. Its leaves are stiff and leathery, with an elliptical or slightly egg shape. They can grow up to 16 centimetres (6 and 1/2 inches) long, and have 3 to 6 pairs of large, bristle-tipped teeth along their edges.
