Pyropteron triannuliformis is a moth species that belongs to the family Sesiidae. It can be found across a range extending from most of Europe to the Near East and Central Asia; it is not present in Ireland, Great Britain, the Iberian Peninsula, Benelux, Denmark, and Fennoscandia. The wingspan of adult Pyropteron triannuliformis measures 14–20 mm. Adults are active and on the wing during June and July. The larvae of this moth feed on the roots of multiple Rumex species, which include Rumex acetosella, Rumex acetosa, Rumex crispus, Rumex palustris, and Rumex conglomeratus, as well as the roots of Geranium sanguineum.
