Pyroderces argyrogrammos is a moth species that belongs to the family Cosmopterigidae. Its range extends from central Europe southward through the Mediterranean region, Canary Islands, North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and China. It has also been newly documented on the Channel Islands. This moth has a wingspan of 11 to 17 millimeters. Adults typically produce two generations between the end of April and the end of September each year, and a third generation may develop during warm seasons. The larvae of this species feed on the seed heads of multiple plant species in the Asteraceae family, including species in the genera Carlina, Centaurea, and Carduus.
