About Pyrisitia leuce (Boisduval, 1836)

Pyrisitia leuce (Boisduval, 1836), also referred to as Eurema leuce, commonly known as Hall's sulphur, is a species of butterfly belonging to the family Pieridae. This butterfly is found in the West Indies, as well as in the South American countries of Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, and Venezuela. For both males and females of the species, the forewing length measures between 17 and 21 millimeters. Adult Pyrisitia leuce have been recorded feeding on Bidens pilosa, Tournefortia hirsutissima, and Croton barahonensis.
