About Pyrausta generosa Grote & Robinson, 1867
Pyrausta generosa is a species of moth belonging to the family Crambidae. It was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote and Coleman Townsend Robinson in 1867. This moth is found in North America, with recorded ranges spanning from Ontario to Alberta, and south to Florida and Missouri. Its habitat includes undisturbed areas within aspen parkland and mixed woodland environments. The wingspan of adult Pyrausta generosa measures 18 to 21 millimeters. Adults are active in flight from late May through late July. It is thought that the larvae of this species feed on plants from the Mentha genus.
