Shell description: For explanation of terms, see gastropod shell. This species has a very small shell, measuring 1.2-1.6 mm in width, with an overall size of 0.6-0.8 by 1.2-1.6 mm. The shell is almost flat, with extremely dense and regular striae, giving it a silky shiny light horny brown appearance. It has 3 to 3.5 moderately convex whorls, and a rounded aperture with a thin, non-reflected margin that lacks a lip. The umbilicus is wide, reaching 25% of the shell’s diameter.
Habitat: These gastropods are commonly found in damp, dim, undisturbed areas. These habitats include wetland margins, wet woodland, and forests with thick leaf litter. They can also live in mossy suburban gardens. They commonly lay their eggs underneath damp soil or rocks.
Distribution: This species occurs in the following countries and islands: Czech Republic, Great Britain, Ireland, Slovakia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Ukraine, Netherlands, Latvia, Bulgaria, United States, and other areas.
