About Pultenaea petiolaris A.Cunn. ex Benth.
Pultenaea petiolaris is a low-lying shrub with hairy stems. Its leaves are linear, measuring 10โ25 mm (0.39โ0.98 in) long and 1โ2 mm (0.039โ0.079 in) wide, with stipules around 3.5 mm (0.14 in) long at the leaf base. A distinct groove runs along the upper surface of the leaves, their edges are rolled under, and the lower leaf surface is paler than the upper. Flowers are arranged in dense clusters at the ends of branches, each around 9 mm (0.35 in) long, borne on a pedicel about 1 mm (0.039 in) long. The sepals are 3โ5 mm (0.12โ0.20 in) long, and bristly bracteoles 5 mm (0.20 in) long are attached near the centre of the sepal tube. The fruit is a flattened pod 6โ9 mm (0.24โ0.35 in) long. This species of pultenaea grows in heath, woodland and forest. Its range extends from the North Kennedy district, inland to the Maranoa in Queensland, and south to Grafton in north-eastern New South Wales.
