About Pultenaea maritima de Kok
Pultenaea maritima de Kok is a prostrate, mat-forming shrub with softly-hairy stems. Its leaves are arranged alternately along the stems, and are elliptic, oblong, or spatula-shaped. They measure 3.5โ5 mm (0.14โ0.20 in) long and 1.8โ2.8 mm (0.071โ0.110 in) wide, with 1.1โ2 mm (0.043โ0.079 in) long stipules at the base, and have downward-curved edges. The flowers are arranged in groups near the ends of branchlets, and are 6.5โ10 mm (0.26โ0.39 in) long, with each flower growing on a pedicel about 0.5 mm (0.020 in) long. The sepals are hairy, 3.8โ5 mm (0.15โ0.20 in) long, and have 3.0โ3.3 mm (0.12โ0.13 in) long hairy bracteoles at the base of the sepal tube. Flowering occurs mainly from August to March, and the fruit is a pod about 5 mm (0.20 in) long. This coastal bush-pea grows in grassland, shrubland and heath on exposed coastal headlands, ranging from south-eastern Queensland to Newcastle in New South Wales.
