About Pulsatilla pratensis (L.) Mill.
Pulsatilla pratensis (L.) Mill. is a herbaceous perennial plant that grows between 8 and 30 cm (3 to 12 inches) tall. Its leaves are finely divided into a thread-like shape, and are densely covered in silvery hairs. The flowers measure 2–3 cm (0.8–1.2 in) long; they are pendulous, bell-shaped, with tepals that have reflexed tips. Flower color ranges from purple in the northern parts of the species' range to greenish-violet in the southern parts. The flowers are hermaphrodite, pollinated by bees, and bloom from early to mid spring. This plant is toxic, but its toxicity can be dissipated through heat or drying.
