Ptyoptila is a monotypic moth genus belonging to the family Oecophoridae. This genus was described by Alfred Jefferis Turner in 1946. Its only known species is Ptyoptila matutinella, which was originally described by Francis Walker in 1864. This species is native to Australia, with confirmed records from Queensland, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria.
