Ptyodactylus puiseuxi Boutan, 1893 is a medium-sized gecko. Its body color ranges from light to dark brown, with many white spots covering its dorsal surface. It has a large, triangular head. Its tail is marked with several white bands, and is shorter than its snout-to-vent length (the combined length of its head and body). Its dorsal scales are small and granular. This gecko occurs in Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. It typically emerges after dark to forage, but can also be found in rocky, shady areas and near caves. Ptyodactylus puiseuxi reproduces by laying eggs (it is oviparous).
