This moth is found in the United States, with confirmed records from the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, and Texas. Its natural habitat is coastal marshy areas. The wingspan of this moth measures 34 mm. In Florida, adult moths have been observed in flight throughout the year.
