About Ptereleotris zebra (Fowler, 1938)

Ptereleotris zebra, commonly called the Zebra barred dartfish or Chinese zebra goby, is a species of dartfish. It is native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean. It lives on reefs, and occurs in schools at depths between 2 meters (6.6 feet) and 31 meters (101.7 feet). Most individuals do not go deeper than 4 meters (13 feet). This species grows to a maximum length of 12 centimeters (4.7 inches) standard length, and it is available in the aquarium trade.
