Psoloessa delicatula, commonly known as the brown-spotted range grasshopper, is a species of slant-faced grasshopper that belongs to the family Acrididae. This species is native to and found in North America. The grasshopper uses specific body postures for thermoregulation: it lowers its abdomen toward the ground and moves its hind legs away from its body. When temperatures rise above 32 degrees Celsius, the brown-spotted range grasshopper will actively seek out shaded areas.
