The flame-fronted barbet, scientifically named Psilopogon armillaris (Temminck, 1821), is an Asian barbet native to Java and Bali. This species has green plumage, a yellow-orange forehead, a blue nape, and an orange crescent marking on its chest. It measures approximately 19.5 to 23 cm (7.7 to 9.1 in) in body length, and weighs between 61 to 79 g (2.2 to 2.8 oz). Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
