About Pseudozonaria arabicula (Lamarck, 1810)

Pseudozonaria arabicula (Lamarck, 1810) has shells that range in size from 13 mm to 37 mm. Its dorsum surface is typically dark brown or greyish. The base is whitish or pale brown, with large dark brown or blackish spots on the ventral margin. This species is found in the Pacific Ocean, along the Galapagos Islands, and in the area stretching from Baja California to Peru. A documented record of this species from Kenya is most likely the result of misidentification, confusing it with Mauritia arabica, which is also known by the synonym Cypraea arabica.
