The strap-snouted brown snake, with the scientific name Pseudonaja aspidorhyncha (Mccoy, 1879), generally reaches up to 1.5 metres in length. It is a long, thin snake, with no clear separation between its head and neck. Its snout has a distinctive chisel shape, and its upper body ranges from light to medium brown in color. This species is distributed across central-southern Australia, ranging from Hermidale in New South Wales to Penong in South Australia.
