About Pseudolycopodiella caroliniana (L.) Holub

Pseudolycopodiella caroliniana, commonly called slender bog club-moss, is a lycophyte species belonging to the family Lycopodiaceae. Both the Flora of North America and the Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group 2016 classification (PPG I) accept the separate genus Pseudolycopodiella. Other classifications do not recognize this genus, and instead place its species within the genus Lycopodiella. This species has a discontinuous distribution. It is native to the eastern United States, specifically found in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. It is also native to select areas of eastern Asia, including Sri Lanka, Southeast China, Peninsular Malaysia and Japan.
