About Pseudolarix amabilis (J.Nelson) Rehd.

Commonly called golden larch, Pseudolarix amabilis (J.Nelson) Rehd. is an attractive ornamental tree suited for planting in parks and large gardens. Unlike true larches, golden larch tolerates summer heat and humidity, and grows successfully in the southeastern United States, where most larches and firs do not thrive. In Europe, it grows most successfully in the Mediterranean region, with notable mature specimens growing in northern Italy. Further north, in the United Kingdom, it can grow, but only very slowly, due to the region's cooler summers. This plant has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
