Pseudochromis fridmani is a species of fish that belongs to the dottyback family Pseudochromidae. It is commonly known as the orchid dottyback. This species is endemic to the Red Sea. Adults of this fish grow up to 6.3 centimeters in length. It inhabits tropical marine waters near reefs at depths of up to 60 meters. It shelters within holes and beneath overhangs. This species has been successfully bred in captivity, and has some commercial importance as an aquarium pet.
