Pseudagrion hageni Karsch, 1893 is a species of damselfly that belongs to the family Coenagrionidae. It has two common names: painted sprite and Hagen's sprite. This species is distributed across a range extending from South Africa northward to Kenya, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Angola; its range also includes Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, and Tanzania. Its natural habitats are shaded streams located in subtropical or tropical forest, thicket, and bush.
