About Psaltoda harrisii (Leach, 1814)

Psaltoda harrisii (Leach, 1814), commonly known as the yellowbelly, is a species of cicada that is native to eastern Australia. This species can be distinguished from Psaltoda plaga, the similar but larger Black prince cicada, by a visible wing marking difference: Psaltoda harrisii lacks the dark Z-shaped infuscation near the apex of the forewings that is present on P. plaga.
