Prunus pogonostyla Maxim., commonly called the hairy-style cherry, is a flowering plant species belonging to the Rosaceae family. It is native to Manchuria, southeastern China, and Taiwan. This species grows as a shrub or tree that reaches 1.5 meters (5 feet) in height, and it produces pink flowers. It is most commonly found growing on forested hillsides at elevations between 300 meters (1,000 feet) and 800 meters (2,600 feet).
