About Proteuxoa tortisigna Walker

Proteuxoa tortisigna, commonly known as the streaked rictonis moth or pale-banded noctuid, is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This species was first formally described by Francis Walker in 1857. It occurs in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, and Victoria. The adult wingspan of this moth is approximately 30 millimetres. The larvae of Proteuxoa tortisigna feed on species in the Poaceae family, along with Pelargonium × zonale and Narcissus pseudonarcissus.
