Scientific name: Proteroiulus fuscus (Am Stein, 1857)

Males of this species measure 6.5โ€“8.5 millimetres (0.26โ€“0.33 in) long and 0.5โ€“0.7 millimetres (0.020โ€“0.028 in) wide. Females are larger: body length ranges from 7.0โ€“13.4 millimetres (0.28โ€“0.53 in), reaching up to 15 millimetres (0.59 in), with a width of 0.5โ€“0.9 millimetres (0.020โ€“0.035 in). This millipede has dark or brownish ozadenes, and carries 6 to 14 setae that are slightly longer than its metazonite.
