Protea tenax (Salisb.) R.Br., commonly called the tenacious sugarbush, is a species of flowering plant in the Proteaceae family. It is endemic to the Cape Provinces of South Africa, where it is distributed across the Outeniqua Mountains, Tsitsikamma Mountains, Kouga Mountains, Winterhoek Mountains, and Baviaanskloof. In Afrikaans, this species is known as Gehardesuikerbos.
