About Pristimantis quaquaversus (Lynch, 1974)

Pristimantis quaquaversus is a species of relatively small frog. Males of this species measure 20–23 mm (0.79–0.91 in) in snout–vent length, while females measure 25–31 mm (0.98–1.22 in). The skin on the dorsum is shagreen, and ranges in color from pale brown to reddish brown, marked with a darker brown interorbital bar, chevrons, or spots. A conical tubercle is present on the upper eyelid. The fingers and toes bear discs, but have no webbing. The natural habitats of Pristimantis quaquaversus are tropical cloud forests and humid lowland forests. Individuals can be found on low vegetation at night. This is a common frog species that faces no major threats.
