Pristimantis cruentus (Peters, 1873) is a species of frog that belongs to the Strabomantidae family. It is sometimes referred to by the common name Chiriqui robber frog. This species occurs in Costa Rica, Panama, and north-western Colombia. Its natural habitats include forests, specifically humid lowland forests and humid montane forests. It can also be found living in degraded habitats located outside of forests. Currently, Pristimantis cruentus is threatened by habitat loss.
