About Pristidactylus valeriae (Donoso-Barros, 1966)
Pristidactylus valeriae, first described by Donoso-Barros in 1966, is a species of lizard belonging to the family Leiosauridae. This species is endemic to Chile, where it occurs in the Chilean matorral. Its preferred natural habitats are forest and shrubland, found at altitudes ranging from 170 meters (560 feet) to 2,280 meters (7,480 feet). Pristidactylus valeriae reproduces via oviparity, meaning it lays eggs that develop and hatch outside the parent's body.
