The delicate prinia, with the scientific name Prinia lepida Blyth, 1844, is a small species of warbler. It is a resident breeding species found across southern Asia, ranging from Turkey to northern India. This species has 5 recognized subspecies. Among these, the subspecies Prinia lepida akyildizi native to southern Turkey is the darkest and brownest, has the heaviest streaking on its upper body, and shows the brightest buff coloration on its flanks.
