About Primula cusickiana (A.Gray) A.Gray

Primula cusickiana, commonly known as Cusick's primrose, is a species of flowering plant in the primrose family. It is native to the western United States, where it grows in and around the Great Basin, with a distribution that reaches into Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah. This species has four recognized varieties. P. c. var. cusickiana occurs in Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada. P. c. var. domensis, commonly called House Range primrose, is endemic to Utah. P. c. var. maguirei, also known as Maguire's primrose and with the scientific synonym Primula maguirei, is a federally listed threatened species found only in one canyon in Cache County, Utah. P. c. var. nevadensis, or Nevada primrose, is endemic to Nevada.
