Potamon rhodium (published by Parisi in 1913), commonly called the Rhodes freshwater crab, is locally known as the Valley crab. It is a semi-terrestrial crab that is endemic to the island of Rhodes, Greece. The distinctive pattern on its carapace appears to mimic the appearance of a moth. As with other crabs in the family Potamidae, this species is omnivorous, and adult males grow larger than females.
