About Popplepsalta notialis (Popple, 2013)

This species has two recognized subspecies. Popplepsalta notialis notialis ranges from Mount Moffatt in Central Queensland, extending south through South East Queensland to Gerroa on the south coast of New South Wales. Its associated habitats include eucalypt woodland, open forest, and urban parks and gardens in Sydney. Forewing length has been recorded as both 13–17 mm and 14–16 mm for the species. Popplepsalta notialis incitata occurs in the Brigalow Belt of inland eastern Australia, ranging from Mazeppa National Park in central Queensland south to Narrabri in north-central New South Wales, with additional disjunct populations in the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria. Its associated habitats include brigalow scrub, eucalypt woodland, open shrubland, mulga scrub, and rural gardens.
