About Poospiza ornata (Landbeck, 1865)
The cinnamon warbling finch, with the scientific name Poospiza ornata, is a bird species that belongs to the family Thraupidae. This species is endemic to Argentina. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and heavily degraded former forest. It was formally described in 1865 by German ornithologist Christian Ludwig Landbeck, who originally classified it under the binomial name Phrygilus ornatus.
