The streak-breasted scimitar babbler, with the scientific name Pomatorhinus ruficollis Hodgson, 1836, is a bird species that belongs to the family Timaliidae. This species can be found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. The former Taiwan subspecies musicus of this species is now generally recognized as a separate species, the Taiwan scimitar babbler. The streak-breasted scimitar babbler forms mixed flocks with other bird species.
