About Polyura schreiber
Polyura schreiber, commonly known as the blue nawab, is a species of butterfly found across tropical Asia. It is a member of the Charaxinae subfamily, a group consisting of rajahs and nawabs, which falls within the brush-footed butterfly family Nymphalidae. Its range extends from southern India and Assam, through Myanmar, Tenasserim, and Southeast Asia, to southern China and Java, Indonesia. In terms of ecology, the confirmed known larval host plants for this butterfly are Rourea santaloides, Wagatea spicata, and Bauhinia phoenicea.
