Polystichum luctuosum (Kunze) T.Moore is a species of fern with two common names: Korean rock fern and Tsushima holly fern. It is a small, clump-forming, tufted evergreen to semi-evergreen fern. Its native range includes Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, and southern Africa. This fern reaches an overall height of 1 to 1.5 feet, with a matching spread of 1 to 1.5 feet. It has a stipe that can grow up to 30 cm long; the stipe is pale to mid-brown, and covered in dark brown to almost black scales. Its fronds are bi-pinnate, glossy, and dark green.
