About Polyscias balfouriana (Hort.Sander.) L.H.Bailey
Polyscias balfouriana, commonly called Balfour aralia or dinner plate aralia, is a species of flowering plant in the family Araliaceae. Its native range extends from New Guinea to Queensland, Australia. This plant grows as a bushy shrub. It bears alternate leaves with long petioles, and produces white flowers that each have 5 petals. Its specific epithet was chosen to honor John Hutton Balfour. This species is commonly cultivated as an ornamental plant.
