Polygala tenella Willd., also known as Senega paniculata, is a flowering plant species belonging to the milkwort family, Polygalaceae. It is an annual herb that grows to a height between 15 and 50 centimetres (5.9 and 19.7 in). Its flowers are pink or white. The species is native to Central and South America, where it grows naturally in grasslands at altitudes between 350 and 1,700 metres (1,150 and 5,580 ft). It has been introduced to East Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. It is used medicinally to treat snake bites and blenorrhagias.
