Polygala paniculata L. (synonym Senega paniculata) is a species of flowering plant in the milkwort family, Polygalaceae. This species is an annual herb that grows 15 to 50 centimetres (5.9 to 19.7 inches) tall. Its flowers are pink or white. It is native to Central and South America, where it grows in grasslands at altitudes between 350 and 1,700 metres (1,150 and 5,580 feet). It has been introduced to East Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. It is used medicinally to treat snake bites and blenorrhagias.
