Polycera melanosticta M.C.Miller, 1996 is a species of sea slug, a nudibranch, which is a shell-less marine gastropod mollusc that belongs to the family Polyceridae. This species was described from ten specimens collected underneath a paint raft at Devonport Naval Base, located in Waitemata Harbour, Auckland, New Zealand. In terms of ecology, Polycera melanosticta feeds on Bugula neritina and Bugula stolonifera.
