About Poloma angulata Walker, 1855
This is Poloma angulata Walker, 1855. Adult individuals of this species are brown overall, with a reddish ferruginous color on their underside. The wings bear two slender, zigzag brown bands located in the middle of the wing. The outer of these two bands has a testaceous border along its outer edge. On the underside of the wings, these two bands have a more undulating shape than they do on the upper side. Forewings display multiple different shades of brown. A slightly curved testaceous band is present at one quarter of the forewing's length, and a very large reddish ferruginous patch runs along the middle section of the forewing costa. This patch has a deep notch on its hind side, and contains a brown dot and a zigzag brown streak. Both the underside of the adult moth and the upper side of the hindwings are reddish ferruginous. The larvae of Poloma angulata feed on the plants Olinia ventosa and Canthium ventosum.
