This species occurs mostly in mountainous regions at higher elevations, though individuals have also been recorded at sea level, particularly in Tasmania. The forewing length of male individuals ranges from 8.5 to 9.5 millimeters, while female forewing length ranges from 7 to 8 millimeters.
