Pogostemon formosanus Oliv. is a plant species belonging to the Lamiaceae family. It was first formally described in 1896, and it is endemic to the island of Taiwan. This species grows as an herb or suffruticose plant, reaching a maximum height of 1 meter, and its entire structure is covered in septate hairs. Its stems are erect in shape, can be round or square in cross-section, and are either glabrous or covered with sparse, fine, tiny hairs.
