Poecilotheria regalis, scientifically named by Pocock in 1899, is an arboreal tarantula species native to parts of India. It is commonly known as the Indian ornamental tree spider, or simply the Indian ornamental. This is one of the most popular arboreal tarantulas kept by amateur collectors. Its leg span can sometimes exceed 7 inches, or 18 centimeters.
