About Podolepis robusta (Maiden & Betche) J.H.Willis

Podolepis robusta (Maiden & Betche) J.H.Willis is an herb with a single, thick, upright stem that grows up to 60 centimetres tall. Its yellow inflorescences measure roughly 25 millimetres in diameter, and they emerge in summer. The basal leaves are spathulate, clasp the stem, and can grow up to 20 centimetres long. Stem leaves above the basal leaves are smaller, and decrease in size further up the stem. This species grows in alpine grassland, where it is commonly associated with snow gums. It is found in the Australian Alps, ranging southwards from Mount Gingera in the Australian Capital Territory.
